Green Tip of the Month- July:
Did you know that paper accounts for 25% of landfill waste and that 42% of a wood harvest is used to make paper? With half of the world’s forests already cleared or burned, consumption of paper with no recycled content has a significant environmental impact. Some quick & easy tips to reduce the amount of paper in the landfill & reduce the need for wood harvesting include: Use dish towels & cloth napkins instead of paper towels & paper napkins; reuse paper bags; buy paper with recycled content; and, be sure to recycle all paper used.
